So these are pictures of this year's flower carpet at Biltmore. It's supposed to be a picture, based on the design of some of the drapery patterns in the House. Apparently they light it up at night with little torches, which is probably cool.
Here's the mountains as seen from Asheville... Are they Blue Ridge? Smokies? I dunno, but they're pretty. I'm voting Blue Ridge.
Especially for Mom: Here's an example of some bamboo forest. This stuff is really strong, you can hang on it and it doesn't even bend or move. Crazy stuff. Wonder where this came from? It's randomly all over the place. Maybe it hitched a ride from Asia when they introduced Kudzu???
That's just what the bamboo looks like in the panda preserve.
