Well, let's see what's been going on down here... Firstly, last weekend (the 8th), my friend and technician Amelia and I went to Augusta Georgia for a little road trip to work at the grand opening of another hospital... Which happens to be the hospital that belongs to a friend of mine, hence the volunteerism. Augusta is about 2.5 hours from here, and right across the SC/GA border, in the middle of NOwhere, as far as I can tell. Unless you count peach farms, pine trees, Saluda, goats, and tractors as somewhere. (I don't think so.) This here would be a photo of trespassing. On a peach farm.
So the first Friday of the month in Augusta, they have this street fair thing, with live bands, music, food, everything on earth related to Bob Marley, and of course, hippies dancing with fire.
Ah, so here's some part of Augusta, actually where our hotel was, and the daytime sight of the previously mentioned street fair. Seems normal enough in the daylight, right??? Oh, and in the above picture are the pine trees, for those of you who think we don't have any down here. We do. It just is HOT. And usually there's palms nearby.
Okay, road tripping aside... It is cooler at night now, like mid-60s. Rumor has it it's going to start cooling down some now. But rumor also has it that this was a very mild summer, so cross your fingers for a mild winter so I don't need a coat, ok?
Blair's work is going good, they got a new line of work through John Deere for all the cabs for the new Waterloo model, which is keeping them in overtime... Apparently this is the Cadillac of John Deere's. I dunno. Are they green?
And if anyone's looking to change lines of employment, apparently RJ Rockers is opening up a new brewery here soon. Whatever they're hiring for, there you go.
And here's some photos of our deck, which is filling in nicely... Now you know what the outside looks like! Blair says, "You KNEW she'd have flowers here, even if it's an apartment!" Yup.
The flowers are looking a lot more healthy. Very pretty
